Acceptance

Organisation name
Acceptance
Description
Established in 1987, "Acceptance" is a helpline and support for the parents and families of homosexual people, of whatever age. The founders and members are all parents of gay children, so are able to empathise with feelings of isolation and often devastation which parents experience in the beginning. It is hoped to bring understanding to a situation that is often feared and misunderstood.

To receive an information pack, contact the above for costs associated with this. The pack includes a newsletter and informative and supportive literature. A helpline is in operation. Quarterly newsletters and literature are also available. "Acceptance" is a voluntary organisation and has no statutory funding, donations are therefore always welcome. A small yearly subscription is requested from regular recipients of the newsletters.
