The Maya Project is a residential drug rehabilitation project for women who want to change their lifestyle and live without the use of mind-altering substances. It is a women-only project which admits single women, women with children (under 18 years of age), pregnant women, and prioritizes women from the black and minority ethnic communities. The project offers a 6-month programme in a safe drug-free environment. Each women is supported in developing a careplan that meets her individual needs towards a drug-free lifestyle.

The programme includes keyworking sessions, groupwork, life and social skills, parenting and arrangements for care of children.

The Maya Project also offers a specialist parenting assessment for families involved in child care court proceedings matters and they work closely with local authorities with regards to children subject to the child protection register in order to safeguard the child's interests while supporting mothers to develop abstinence.

Clients, who can be from anywhere in the UK, need to be drug-free on entry. An interview/assessment can be arranged within 24 hours of referral. Please contact the above address for further details.
