HUSH is a charitable organisation set up in 1997 to support families affected by E.coli O157 and/or HUS (Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome). It can also create a link between sufferers and those who have previously experienced this illness. HUSH aims to raise awareness of the bacterium and its effects, and disseminates information on the steps that can be taken to avoid infection.
