Organisation name
The newsletter 'Mainliners' is produced bi-monthly. Its national readership is composed of healthcare professionals, service users and anyone who has an interest in drug use, commercial sex work, HIV prevention and hepatitis. It aims to be informative and topical and offers space to other agencies who are undertaking new initiatives in the field. Contributors range from professionals to service users. If you would like to receive the newsletter please phone the Mainliners office.
There is also a helpline. If you would like information on HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, drug use, sex work or any other related issues you can contact one of the workers on the helpline. More than just an information line it provides a confidential opportunity to seek emotional support and talk over any concerns or worries on areas such as testing and treatments for HIV or hepatitis C. Mainliners have also launched a Hepatitis C Resource Centre that you can contact for advice.
Mainliners can also provide leaflets on their HIV/AIDS support and prevention services, sexual health services and general information on hepatitis C. Direct services include outreach programmes in south London and Croydon, a street drugs, and a youth service
